In addition to using HIPAA-compliant telehealth software, I have also received training from the Freedom of the Press Foundation on best practices for digital security when using telehealth technology.”

Forms of Payment
If you have no in-network or out-of-network benefits, you can choose to pay out-of-pocket for services. This can be a helpful option if there are concerns about information being documented in employment records or applications such as life insurance that consider any formal mental health diagnoses.
Cost per session: $160
Sliding scale arrangement: A sliding scale fee MAY be offered for clients that can demonstrate financial hardship. This determination is made on a case-by-case basis.
In-Network: Moore Therapeutic and Consulting Services (MTCS) therapists are currently paneled with ComPsych and Optum (through United Healthcare).
Out-of-Network: Some insurance plans have coverage for out-of-network providers. This means that you can see a provider who is NOT in-network with your insurance company, however you will have to pay the provider’s full session rate directly to the provider, and then can request a reimbursement from your insurance company. Check with your insurance company and ask about:
- Your out-of-network benefits and if you have to meet your deductible prior to reimbursement?
- Allowed amounts for Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes: 90837 and 90834
SUMMARY:
If you are insured through ComPsych or Optum (through United Health Care) we will directly bill your insurance company for the cost of services. In some cases you may be responsible for your co-payment.
If you are insured through any other insurance company, MTCS will not bill your insurance company and you will be responsible for paying MTCS directly. If you have out-of-network benefits, you can submit a superbill for reimbursement of some or all of the cost of treatment. Please verify your out-of-network benefits before scheduling an appointment. If you have any questions about submitting a Superbill don’t hesitate to ask.
**It is important to note that billing insurance companies directly or providing a Superbill requires the provider to share information regarding your clinical diagnosis. If you prefer not to have information shared you can choose a self-pay option, where there are no insurance companies involved in the payment for therapy services.
We will provide you with a receipt for each session called a “Superbill.” You can submit these receipts to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you would like some help with this process we recommend using Reimbursify or The Super Bill. These are both helpful resources for out-of-network claims.
MTCS accepts debit or credit cards, FSA (Flexible Spending Account), Venmo or CashApp. Payment or copays are due on the day of each session unless other prior arrangements are made with MTCS administrators or providers.
Under the No Surprises Act of 2022, health care providers are required to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- Per the law, any patient or client has the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services or items.
- If you receive a bill that is $400 or higher beyond the expected costs listed in Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- MTCS charges a contracted and individualized rate for each client that is either agreed upon with the client or negotiated with the insurance company. Because the agreed upon rate per session remains constant, MTCS does not provide ongoing documentation of Good Faith Estimates per session.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Testimonials
“Tyra offers a premier level of unparalleled care. She is authentic, empowering, intelligent, and unwavering in her support to her clients. It is difficult to express in words just how much Tyra has assisted me in my healing journey and how confident I feel that she can heal others in the same way. Her warm, genuine, down to earth nature, and her individualized treatment is what makes her services so distinctive. She has a talented ability to pinpoint unhealed parts and subsequently scaffold sessions in a way that makes you feel heard, seen, and supported as you heal on your own timeline. Because of her highly skilled approach, I have grown immensely. With her guidance, I have healed parts of me that I did not know needed healing and continue to heal with the long term tools that she has provided me with. Her therapeutic services are unmatched and I would refer any family member or friend to her.”
